Planning on buying some stuff from Sewfine for my bus during their sale. Look at the sale and look at the prices: they jacked everything up to make the prices pretty much the same before the sale. Kinda bullshit. Do they normally do this? |

It's a common retail practice. Not sure if they do it regularly, but I see it in other situations all the time. _________________ nothing |

Yes - I have seen people post about other companies doing this too. _________________ How to Post Photos

Back in my days as a ski bum/ski shop employee, I saw it happen often. The shop where I worked was always thought by locals to be too expensive, and folks would travel 1 1/2 hrs to "get a deal on sale". Then they would realize that the sale price was about the same as our regular price without having to drive out of town. The other shops would drop their prices a higher percentage from the MSRP, which we never started from. Plus, we always serviced what we sold. Enough people got it to keep us rolling in business, though. _________________ nothing |

I know that many retail store do this, just didn't expect it from them.
I guess the deal of getting the nice fabric for the price of the normal fabric is cool, but still Urks me! |

Obviously not a great deal... but my real issue is the "one owner" lie. I drive by this house everyday on my way to work. The bus showed up on Wednesday, saw him washing it on Thursday and Friday the for sale sign was on it. Obvious flip.
Looks much better in the pictures than it does in person. _________________ '78 Westy |

All original unmolested... yet its missing heater booster fan above the engine...
Its a cool bus but 9200... no way. _________________ Sam

I would take it as the owner now is not considering himself in the chain. And how many times do we tell people to buy the best bus they can afford? This to me - even at $9200 is a good buy for half you 20 somethings to get as a first bus. Rather than being buried by a whos-who list of parts you need to learn about and buy.
Just my observation. _________________

I agree, that's a pretty badass camper with not many obvious demons for that money, at least you won't have to fix rust. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

Not sure how this Mexican 1976 bus selling in California will pass the California smog check with the wrong engine... no correct year emissions, unlikely correct displacement either. Seriously doubt the referee will let that slide. Even imports from other states must pass the emissions standards. I think the referee comment is BS.
Not too sure about that pricing, either.
