I really like how it changes from a blue/white Riviera to an orange/white westy in the ad. I wonder which bus you actually get for your hard earned $6K? |

Ahh, I missed that line. Scanning too fast I guess. But the bus for sale is still a Riv and not a Westy. At least I got that part right. _________________ nothing |

Search Gene Berg website. His dipstick works wth oil pressure light. Engine oils gets to hot makes light start to blink. If it gets way jot light stays on.
Te price of that bus is extreme,,, well maybe. I've turned down offers of 40k+ for my 79 westy. _________________ Special Thanks to:

Yeah, I know. I was mostly commenting on the "dio" and the "Burg" parts. My computer's spell check won't even let me write dio…it becomes duo. For close to $50K for some reason I expect the details to be looked after, even in the ad. Yes, I know I am too picky . _________________

For $20K it better do more than run, drive, and stop! When you have to put Instagram filters on to hide the rust, that's not good....
That engine compartment pic is dark, but do I see a single carb in there? That's not good. |

So, no offense to the moderator who locked the topic about the Jalopnik story (pointing the OP here instead - pretty unrelated), but I don't think the story was posted due to the price as much as an interesting VW-based design that the OP hadn't seen before.
I was going to post a follow-up with a link to the conversion kit manufacturer and his online plans site...I'd do that here, but it's unrelated to "whining" about parts and prices.
Once again, big respect for the site moderators and operator...
