There is much discussion with the seller and the Brazilian 15 window culture in recent pages of the split bus whine thread. _________________ nothing |

I saw this ad a while ago and could not understand it. Vee Hav Vays of procuring titles for these things. I would love to have that bus uncut. |

I had one similar to this, but not a 15 window, but more probably a panel with hacked windows. I regret selling it because it eventually ended up in the same condition. The guy wanted a Split so he decided to graft a Split nose onto it. I don't know how he planned to deal with the different widths, but I do know that nothing has come of it in 4 years… Very sad!

A pity it was cut up. I saw one of these last weekend at the Spring Picnic Show (Yorba Linda, CA) that was registered in California. Asked about it, and was told that he bought it at Pomona and that had no trouble registering it. _________________ 77 Westy named Tiki - Daily Driver 80 miles a day!

Oh yeah this one has everything. Shitty paint job in shitty colors, shitty painted dashboard with shitty half-painted steering wheel. Shitty upholstery, shitty headliner, shitty price. And OF COURSE it has a shitty single carb kit! Sign me up! |

The first thing I thought of was that this was the shore ship in Life Aquatic.

Looks like a good nut and bolt. Paint the bumpers white and get an actual motor in it, then it would be "perfect." _________________ Wash your hands

Absolutely, love how they "restored" the seats using non-original covers and then left the mustard yellow arm rest on the back seat. _________________ My Bus Restoration Blog

Good catch! Yeah, what the heck is up with that?
And I am with Brian on the bumpers. They just look weird painted the body colour. _________________

My point in postin it is that its still a pretty good resto. Say you bought it for the 25k, then redid the seats, spare, bumpers, motor and floor to look correct - I still think it would fetch and or hold a 25-30k value in todays crazy market. Giving a bit of a nod in the right direction for a nice bus. In stark contrast to that Floriduh, boat, Life Aquatic, McDonalds abortion looking thing asking 23k. Which is retarded and unjustified. _________________

sometimes an engine fire is justified. this is one of those times. thankfully they have the fuel filter sitting right there above the motor. it's a problem that will eventually correct itself. |

The thing is, the bus didn't paint itself so it doesn't deserve to be punished...

I agree with you, and my quibbles with the Bus are rather minor and nit-picky. It is nice to see someone has tried to make a nice Bus and not just done a lipstick and mascara then slapped a stupidly high price tag on it. _________________

I'm actually surprised the seller isn't asking for 35k with that laundry list of parts _________________
