In all fairness, it does say, "make an offer." _________________ '76 Deluxe Campmobile |

The price just might drop seeing how it's hanging off the edge of the counter about ready to fall and hit the floor and break. |

I offered him $37.50 and suggested his asking price must have been a typo. Didn't expect a reply and wasn't disappointed. |

I haven't found many of those in my 10 years of looking. For the person that has their bus almost complete and has the cash, I could see paying that much. I'd love to have one, but can't afford that. _________________ My Bus Restoration Blog

Sorry, I just don't see that kind of pricing associated with late bay Westy parts yet. Will fully acknowledge how hard they are to find, just don't see other used parts in that territory. Used is not NOS, and that is more of an NOS price, a high one even. Has anyone seen one of these sell for anything remotely close to this asking price? If so, I'll shut up and recant! |

$3000????
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1710662
According to the seller this was only next to a car that burnt and this discoloration has nothing to do with an engine fire?
Plus the seller's oh-so-tempting sales pitch for his "bas"
"Thus [sic] is a solid bus that just needs some love to be a great camper bus again. This bus was next to a car that burned but bas [sic] has very little damage. Only damage is a small bit of paint bubbles from the heat and a some minor melting on the rubber trim and rear tail lights. Bus has a motor but condition is unknown. The hinges on the pop top are froze from sitting and will need to be replaced or repaired. Both upper and lower beds are present and closet and table are their as well but no other camper items are in the bus. Other than that bus is complete and ready for a new home.
I have filed for a lost title so it will go with bus as soon as I receive it.
Bus is sold as is with no warranty."
Thus a bus is a bas. |

I went and looked at this bus years ago before I bought mine.
Notice the discoloration along the bottom of the sliding door. The lower 6" or so of this bus was rotten and covered with fiberglass then painted over (poorly). But, you do get a rough running engine and bad transmission with the deal.

That ad is hilarious. Calling the interior perfect, then saying you need to clean it. Calling the paint bad, but still good. saying runs great, but need to fix engine and replace trans gears. |

the other 2% must have been the only ones in halfway decent condition. that's a $800 parts bus IMO |

ACVW's for sale in my area tend to be either overpriced or basket cases or both. This is probably the worst I've seen in a long time......what explains the gaping hole in the side? And dig all that body filler just sitting out there in the open. For only $4k? "GOOD WINTER PROYECT" (per the seller) I think not!

How right you are....I underestimated the price point of a divine interior! |
