Obviously not a great deal... but my real issue is the "one owner" lie. I drive by this house everyday on my way to work. The bus showed up on Wednesday, saw him washing it on Thursday and Friday the for sale sign was on it. Obvious flip.
Looks much better in the pictures than it does in person. |
IMHO if it's a California bus it's not too bad for the price |

This is a great ad! He calls it a bug engine?? It's a type 4 you nut job. Do you think he saw it on this thread and that's why he yells at us in the ad about it being worth $90k?? Hope so, if you read this: STOP ripping people off. That's a thousound dollar bus on a good day.

if someone pays 3 k for that, they got what they deserve. like most sellers, I bet the guy tossed it up there just to see what would stick.

this is exactly what I bitch about in the forums.....
take a "build thread" of your average vw owner and this is what you get....
-bought a pretty clean bus for 2k
-bought some plastic sheeting and a harbor freight spray gun
-bought the cheapest single stage known to man
-couldn't bother to tape off wiring, remove antenna stub etc let alone strip it to the bone to do a proper job
-post said piece of shit for sale, asking all the money.
IF the bus was solid to start with, it may be a 6500-7500 bus. maybe.
