Is that what that means? I've bought exactly one thing using ebay, so I'm not caught up on how it works. I thought that $15,000 was the sellers starting point on the auction. If you can buy it now for $15k than why would he say it's for sale for $65k in the description?
So I can buy this 'diamond in the ruff' for either $15k or $65k? Hmmm, gonna need to sleep on that and get back to you in the morning.
Again, this guy is a moron and I don't even think he knows what he's doing, because none of us does. |

Maybe it's part of a nasty divorce... "you will need to sell off all your stuff to pay off the bitch"
So he lists it at an unreasonable price, knowing it won't sell. Suck it, bitch!

My wife of 5 months jokes that she's gonna take half of my bus. I told her she's getting the top half so that I still get a running vehicle. |

Wait, what?!?! Women get nasty and greedy during a divorce? Shut the front door!!
I WWAAYY under valued by VW's by at least half during my divorce. Neither the ex or her lawyer was smart enough to double check.. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

Man.... the interior on that thing looks really clean. If all it needed was a new paint job, then his $19,500 is not way too far off- though it is far off. But look at the rust poking through on the bottom. That could mean some serious metal work is needed.
If this bus were near show quality- not mint- it could carry that price tag. Not in the condition it appears to be in, though. |

I saw it first on a beetle, now I'm seeing it on a bus in my area...
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1826186
Guy buys an old air cooled vw, converts it to electric, drains the batteries, and then tries to sell it for $$$ even though it needs new batteries.
Would it be worth $15k if it didn't need so much?
Also, this isn't The Electric Bus, the very first one that had its own web site, once upon a time. I think that one was located in Arizona, not sure if "the first of its kind" would command more of a price.
However, this doesn't look like it has rust, around these parts that's rare, but thanks to idiocy of custom sunroof and losing its cover, who can say how long it will be rust free?

I'm curious to how it has power brakes? Electric vacuum pump?
I think proper batteries would be up in the big dollar range making that not worth it at all. _________________ Wash your hands

Maybe, I don't know, maybe he has regenerative brakes.

This is the second such conversion I'm passing on. If the price was right, I'd swap out the tired batteries with a battery pack from a hybrid vehicle. I have a source for them.
But I haven't found a suitable candidate yet.
