Anyone have a good place to get replacement cv boots. The type that bolt up over the cv in place? |

I haven't dealt with my CV's yet, so I'm also wondering how I tell what ones I have I guess I'll have to see if I can pull a number off of them somewhere. |

I would highly recommend taking the time to remove the joint, and putting on a one piece boot. This will give you a chance to check out, and re-grease the joint, and you won't have any issues with leaks where the boot seams come together. _________________ OK Thang |

You're probably right, I need to replace my trany soon so I was looking for a quick fix in the mean while. My reverse gear is basically gone |

For swing axles, yes.
For IRS, I don't think they make split boots. New ones aren't great as the quality of the rubber has gone down. Get some EMPI axles from rockauto.com
I got two complete assemblies for $100 _________________ Wash your hands

Thankfully I haven't seen the split boots for IRS either, but there are so many "snake oil," quick fix products that I wanted to cover all bases. Those axles are a smoking deal! I love Rock Auto. _________________ OK Thang |
