What question do you have. Are you wanting to install an Aftermarket Radio into an empty Dash Hole on your Vanagon.
All of the Radios will come with listed wiring inputs for the Radio, the common ones are Power, Ground, Power Ant. activation if you had a car that has a power atn, Lighting input from Dash Lights, and the speakers.
Do you need Vanagon wire colors for your '80 to install with?
Your better bet is to provide a picture or two of what you're working with, so we can all follow along.
Stock Speaker Wiring probably had the Floating Ground/Common Ground/Negative for Rear Speakers if you have them, most modern radios are best wired with separate new wires going to the rear speakers on 2 new wire runs, each with Positive and Negative for that speaker location.
However, Crutchfield and others DO sell a Floating Ground Adapter as part of their install kit when wiring in a modern radio into an older German Car/Bus that used the Common Ground for Rear Speakers. _________________ '68 Westy- my first VW and vehicle/Bus- long gone.- sold it to a traveling Swiss couple....
