hi guys
Im replacing the bearings in my beam with urethanes due to play i have already got the outer bearings out with out any problems, but need advise on how to remove the inner bushes. have tried to nock through from the otherside using a pole and hammer against the adjuster in the beam but wont budge and dont want to dammage the adjuster, any help ? |

The inner micarta can be tough. Here's my trick. Get a propane torch and heat up the outside of the beam around the inner micarta bearing. Get it good and hot and the micarta will become brittle. Use a long screw driver and hammer to break it up. There are stops on the far side of the bearing, so you won't knock it in. Worked for me 4 times... |

I used a hacksaw blade and made two cuts in them. once that piece is out the bushings come out really easily. You just have to be really careful to not nick the inside of the beam otherwise those nicks will gnaw on your new bushings. _________________ My Build Post
