Recently purchased NOS Fram F3-P Oil Filter for $100 at an obsolete auto parts site. It came with the original box and installation instructions. |

Now all you need are the lines and fittings. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I also need hoses and fittings for my Fram filter.. I have emailed MrWob but no reply. Steph and Thomas seem to have bad rep, which is harsh! I'm in the UK and finding it hard to find the correct parts.. any ideas? _________________ ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

I agree with John, I am going to measure up and go to hydraulic hose shop.
If you are putting in normal location, will stock Porsche lines work? Does an old 356 have similar oil outlet coming off oil pressure switch. I am not familiar with Porsche engines, I shall begin researching. |

Well I see the pressure switch is different. That idea won't work. |

User Zundapp turned me on to this porshe link, I don't see why you can't use oil lines. You would just need hardware for in and out.

I went through this, the lines are too short, especially the inlet line, and then good luck finding the hardware. I went to the biggest hydro line in San Diego and showed the guy what I needed and he didn;'t have the correct fittings. I ended up ordering through Steph but I ordered two sets in case I would need another (which I did for another project). I think Joe Ruiz aka Mr Okrasa makes the lines, sometimes, check with him. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

I believe that in plumbing these F-3 Fram filters you need a restriction in the plumbing somewhere to limit the amount of oil passing through the filter so it does not flow too much and rob the rest of the engine oil circuit and reduce oil pressure. I would think it would be preferable to do this on the inlet side, so the filter can does not end up pressurized too much. On the 356 setup they did this in the inlet banjo bolt.

You are correct. The kit Steph sells has that restriction which goes on the inlet. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

On a side note, does anyone reproduce the mounting bracket for the Fram filter? _________________ ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ---- ----
