Hi,

while take my enigne out I've noticed that the top left engine to trans bolt, doesn't have the insert that is fixed to the engine case.

Is it possible to implant new insert there ? If so, where can I get replacement insert?

Yes you can redo the insert. Not sure where to obtain one.

What year is your car, or more specifically, what year/type is your engine? The top left insert was added when VW went to the doghouse oil cooler in about 1971, because you could no longer get at the nut. Earlier engines had no interference from the shroud/cooler, and so used a conventional nut and bolt.
