Bob those rear panel clips are just like the front door ones, but they go all the way through the panel and have that shinny head. I noticed that bay windows use them to to hold the panel on the slider and the rear hatch panel. _________________ Jason "notchboy" Weigel

This came in the mail today. Is it just me or does this seem like a really long build time?

| A few of the panel pieces that came with my square have the pins like those. Accept that they arent so white and shiny any more, and are mostly busted in half. |

Hopefully your panels are good enough to make patterns off of. The shiny cap clips are available new so those won't be a problem for you either. _________________ '65 Squareback - Sally

It's a tourist delivery vehicle, so it probably would have sat until it was prepped for pick- up.
I'll bet the first M code would be M275, for sealed beams. _________________ Give A Pal a Hand!

That explains the SB12's. I wonder where my car traveled. Very interesting... _________________ '65 Squareback - Sally

Now that we have a big ol' tub of Chem-Dip, I decided to clean up some misc. parts. Here's the rear hatch latch and striker before and after a dip.

Thanks. It worked pretty well, just let the stuff soak for a while. I used a toothbrush to scrub them and then ran them under some hot water to get the chem dip off. I dried them real good and then greased all the moving parts. _________________ '65 Squareback - Sally

One of my favourites without a doubt.
Have one of your earlier pics as a screen saver and today one of my students saw it and said "Wow, sweet ride. What is it?". I answered with the first thing that came to mind "It's perfection, that's what it is".
You have done a great job with this rejuvenation my friend. Looks awesome! |
