Love the care and attention they paid painting the inside of the cab. Did they use a paint bomb? How else do you get that much paint on the pedals?. Drive it before it dries?
Edit - looking at the marks on the floor, I think it might be the latter. _________________ Andy

I rattled this binz loose, I was going through an album of VW's on Flickr one day. As I was going through some random pictures I can across this picture.
I couldn't believe it! Tried my best to get it but failed and passed the word on. I spoke with the old owner about it for a while, then he added a gallery of pictures. Someone in the southern states got it and I've seen a few pics on Instagram.

Binz factory paint jobs were pretty terrible, too. But not that bad. _________________ nothing |

Very cool
What is with the "truck" in the bottom pic..big back window?and check out the gates especially at the rear of the truck it may just be the picture or an optical illusion but it looks like the gates go past the rear of the truck _________________ Wow look at that THAT'S A "SHOW CAR"!!

Nice! the earliest known commercial "fleet" shots of a Binz (and maybe one of the first few made). Same crew of six. They bought the Binz when they had more installers to deliver to the job site. Can you imagine what that load of framed windows weighed in the mid 50s? _________________

Yes, I think it has Single Cab gates on it - notice how the gate indents are all the same size, not like a Binz or a Double Cab where one is shorter.
They are longer than the Binz bed. |
The gates are still shorter than a single, 3 indents vs 4 indents. Are the indents on Crew's shorter too? |

They removed the "pillar" between the first & second indent.
Note gate hinge spacing... and four long indents on the SC
'63 DC (late - equal... short, short, short)
Seamed DC (early - unequal... long, really short, long)
