Just want to say that I made a purchase from a Samba classified for the first time and it turned out great.
Jake Armour in Charlotte of Monkeynut LLC, Vintage Volkswagen Specialists was great to communicate with via email. Answered questions without fail. Talked once over the phone and it was a pleasant experience. He even worked with my brother inlaw to arrange for him to pick up the parts and bring them to me.
I wish I didn't live on the other side of NC because I know who I'd be taking my Westfalia to for repairs.
Thanks Jake. |

Jake and Bryan are great people. Jake built the engine in me Euro 67 Beetle. No problems what so ever. He sourced me a transmission when mine blew. He drove to pick it up and brought it back to his shop for me. You wont find a better group of guys willing to build you anything you can need and happy to talk shop. Jake and Bryan have such a love for this hobby. For a guy who drives a bus cross country and back...... I knew he was the one I wanted to build my engine. Im located in Charlotte so if you are to stop by and check them out. Even if you dont need any work done its fun to check out the cool projects they have going on. If I could find one word to describe MonkeyNut it would be FAIR. You wont be disappointed. They make sure of that. _________________ -OstKόste-

Jake's also a good customer.
I've done a few distributors for him and he's been professional, never rushed me, always wanted the job done right and paid me promptly. I send him back the finished product and he sends me a check... never a care or worry.
I wish all my transactions were so easy.
Thanks Jake and see you at the next CTS. _________________ Glenn

Ordered a few pieces from Jake and got one piece I didn't order. Notified Jake via email and he had the correct piece on the way immediately. No whining, no complaining, no demands to ship the other piece back first.
I got an apology and excellent service instead. I will definitely do biz with them again. _________________ '65 Deluxe bus long term project |

Bryan from Monkeynut is awesome. I bought a HUGE 3 foot 8 inch round VW Dealer Sign from him and he brought it all the way to Florida to a show at no extra charge. I should have at least bought him a beer or something. I guess my best compliment would be to give them some return business. No problem there as I already have a "shopping list" that I know they will be able to fill. You can trust these guys. _________________ ........... _╒═══╕_JimDandy.and.EMPI-Titelock.

If you do drop in, wear as dark a pair of sunglasses as you can and don't bring any young kids. Bryan and Jake are ugly as sin and will scare the heck out of your kids. Why do you think they're called "Monkey Nuts?"
Aaaaah.......just kidding. Two great guys and a great shop. Fair prices, friendly and they even have a coffee pot in the office. _________________ More Hot Lighting Products are here!

I love the packaging materials that Monkeynuts use. It was like getting a bonus in the mail. Ask bryan and Jake for the "skin-zine" special cushioning material. |

Just a quick note from a 68 year old novice to the repair and renovation of this medium. I have been very impressed with the co-operation of this company (and I speak for all at MN and Gerson) in assisting in getting these parts. I look forward to purchasing more parts from them in the future. |

Just concluded a sheet metal trade with Jake at Monkeynut. He was very quick with email responses and sent the funky green metal lightning fast. Stand-up guy, very professional and would never hesitate doing another thing with him again. Hope to visit someday and see the shop. Thanks! |
