Piecing together my 65 Bug i picked up last December. It's been cobble'fabed something fierce. Under the back seat there looks like there is "supposed" to be a plate covering that linkage in the photo. Am I mistaken? If there is, what is it called so I can get one ordered?

OOHHH!!! Super! Thanks so much for that. Didn’t know what it was called. So didn’t know what to search for. |

$50 Canadian is still $36.70 US. Apparently made of platinum.
Check with Avery's: https://averysaircooled.com
Better yet, see if someone's parting out a bug in your area. _________________ Tom

Those things should be a dime a dozen. They don't wear out and aren't in a place where they normally rust. It's probably the last piece to survive a wrecked/abandoned car. |

Not that it matters because I think the original poster was just helping to show you what you were missing, but that one has four extra holes so I wouldn’t buy it anyway…
There should only be the one slotted hole. |

You know I didn't notice that. But thanks for pointing that out. I'd rather not put even more unnecessary holes in the car. |

non-stock holes... pass.
I'd actually look for one that still has its original sound deadening tarboard glued to it. I little searching and I found one such.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |
