I'm thrilled to see the final result. It's truly a remarkable custom. Congrats on a job extremely well done. Cool Applause
Hope you make it to the Good Guys Nats. in Columbus some time. I would love to meet you and the Ghia in person.

Please, take that car to a dragstrip or road course and let us see what it can do in a proper environment! Varoom-varoom video from car shows is such a tease! Smile

I wonder if the engine has ever been up to operating temperature?

Does not look like it's been driven or run very long, and it certainly has not been driven hard. Too bad, as that big lump of a V10 likes to run. Dragstrip would be interesting, if they can get it to hookup. Hopefully the torque won't mess up the panel gaps, lol.
Road course would be amusing to watch it push the front around the corners, as the weight distribution seems pretty poor.

This picture is posted on a lot of different sites, but I can't find out anything about it .. some folks speculate it is also Viper V10 powered but no engine shots

I've actually seen this car in person at the Holley Ls Fest (I think that's where the pic was taken too)...and it is a work of art. Hauls too! Laughing

Congrats Cool
"Any auto show featuring a car named the Blue Mamba is one worth seeing. The World of Wheels auto show pulled up to the Seaport World Trade Center this weekend and the Blue Mamba – a 1967 Karmann Ghia with a Viper V-10 motor in it – was among the cars on display.

Owned by Keith Goggin of New York City, the redesigned Karmann Ghia exemplified engineering mastery and, to that end, the car won the show's engineering award"

And......

I may have shared my experience of meeting Dean & Keith somewhere, sometime in the past. I'm not very good a cataloging/saving pictures. I posted a few in the gallery a while back. Dad & I had taken several and I thought they had been deleted. Anyhow I did meet Blue Mamba! In 2015 our annual car show here in Columbus invited them for a special display. My Dad was visiting from Florida and was able to experience and help do an impromptu photo shoot with my Ghia & Blue Mamba. Hope you enjoy the pics as much as I did posing for them!

I ran across this video Dean made about a year ago that really details the craftsmanship that went into the Blue Mamba.
It's 33 mins.
