hello i bought a 55 oval today.
My first bug exept for my beach buggy and a 67 bug for parts.
I post a page from meanbugs in Sweden with the pics.
1 user before me and only used in the sommers 75000km

Great purchase there Johan! Congratulations!
I got by bug from Sweden last summer. Looking at your car lots of stuff looks so familiar. On mine it's exacly like this too - washer bottle screws right through the ID plate!

the body is in realy good shape left back fender is a small amount off rust under the stainless "plate"?? and some small rust spots |

Very nice, loos like a nice solid Oval. That radio is a Philips "Palidin" I have two of them (I also work for Philips, but no I didn't get the radios at work!!) _________________ John Henry

thats the first Batwing car I've seen with a "WEST Germany" tag behind the spare, I previously assumed the "west" was added to the '56 model year _________________ There is an idea of a Billmetric; some kind of abstraction. But there is no real me: only an entity, something illusory. And though I can hide my cold gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable... I simply am not there... |

It is possible that Hella still got a lens for the foglight. Visit your Hella dealer. I sold Hella some years ago, and suitable foglight-lens was in the catalogue for a MB300 (adenauer) from early fifties. |
