Dont know where to post this so I post it here...
I'm thinking of buying a car from Brazil and have no idea what so ever on how to get it shipped from Brazil to Europe....
If anyone out there have done this or know of any tips on how to do it I would appreciate any tips.
Maybe some Brazilian Fusca enthusiasts could be of assistance? _________________ ~Kris~

Hi Kristian,
Although I have experience of shipping from Brazil to the UK I don't really think it would help you to recommend the UK Shipping Agent I used.
The easiest way to do it is to "Google" shipping agent + helsinki. These people are dealing with all the problems you are likely to encounter on a daily basis and a good agent will save you a lot of headaches.
The best bit of advice I can give you is to get as many quotes as you can for the route you require...Santos to Helsinki or wherever. You'll find they vary quite a bit. _________________ John.

Get a moving company that provides complete information such as the date and time of departure from the place your car is originating to the exact date and time it gets to you. Although I've had many bad experiences with moving companies, you are left with no other choice. _________________ 24 hour locksmith service

Be Very careful, we don't ship from South America due to the potential problems with UK customs and the problems with drugs.
When speaking to our agents they all told us not to do it with horror stories of vehicles being dismantled on arrival in the UK.
If you can find one from elsewhere then so much the better.

But have you found any useful information about it? Mine is going to happened in a period of one month, if it does. I have found a guy in my country, Serbia that can organize it, but he is asking for a container with two cars, two because it is the same price as the small one, 3000 euros... which is a lot... |

Kind of in the same boat as John with this one; I have a good rec. but it's from the U.S. to Europe https://www.a1autotransport.com/ship-car-to-brazil.php (they also ship to Brazil). One thing I cannot stress enough when shipping a vehicle between countries is to make sure the shipper knows exactly what they're doing. Miscommunications and incompetence are one thing when it's easy to contact the company, but it can be a real problem with international. "saving money" could def. cost you in delays and additional fees if they don't know the laws, taxes, etc.
edit: nevermind, I just caught the date on this. |
