that was the mockup Very Happy
It was all tacked in and I put the trans and motor in on a jack, made sure it was square and level and welded it

the two down bars that tie into the main trans mount just barely fit from hitting the 2 exhaust headers

As an offroad race Tech Inspector, I say it looks pretty good so far. As you are quite proud of your welding, I expect all joints to be properly and fully welded.

A couple of comments.

The butt joints in the B-pillar hoop at the intersection with the tube gussets...I see no rosette welds to secure a sleeve in place. Also the location of the joints at the tangent of the bends makes properly fittting an inner sleeve virtually impossible. The sleeve should extend at least 2x the outer tube diameter into the outer tube. That would be 3" each side of the joint in 1-1/2" tube. Rosettes should be 3/8" diameter and not inline along the tube. These joints would get the car rejected at Tech by a knowledgable Inspector.

The rear torsion appears to have a gusset plate above the adjusters between the diagonal braces. Having observed 2 racers with broken torsion housings in that area at the MORE race Saturday, I would say that's a good idea.

on the main hoop i did put as much 120 wall 1 1/4 tubing in that fit in the corner and drilled 2 holes on each side of the main hoop and plugged welded

with the adjuster rear beam a few of my friends have ripped em in half. Shocked they said that should be good.
