Man that sounds awesome! I can't wait to get out with my Son on some high mileage on and off road adventures! I guess for now we will have to be content with pushing it in and out of the garage after working on it Look forward to seeing pictures of the new bling!
Cheers!

Just ganna throw a bunch of pics in here about the whole front end and resent upgrades as of now
New muffler/ubend. old one pretty much exploded
moved the airfilter inside so had to make a box. its a weber 38 and the studs are on the inside that why I have a removable side plate/breather.
and hit a tree so left blinker and headlight are bent up. and very minor hood chip haha
more on the ranger frame
frame its a torsion bar style (Ranger sport) and is cut right up to the upper arm mounts, and capped the frame.
the rack, powersteering, spindles, brakes and powersteering pump and reservoir

Somewhere in this heap of stuff around here I have a program for a NORRA Mexican 1000 of 1970 or 71. (yeah...I've been around this stuff a while ) On the front cover is a picture from the previous year's race of a Baja Bug, with Ford F100 Twin I-Beam suspension. _________________ Richard

How much noise did moving the air filter inside add? |
I have a bigger inlet like 41/2" reduced to the actual 3" hose so it doenst have a big fast airflow whistle(likeif it were just a 3" filter). its noticable when your hard on it, sounds like a turbo spooling, but not while cruising, its tiny considering the benefits and the car it extremely loud anyways (earplugs or headphones all the time) _________________ 70% of what you buy is something to start with.

Nope...No dinosaurs then...YET!
But there were fish in the water and these weird kinda fish-like critters crawlin' up on the beach every now and then.
I'm not so old I invented dirt, I was just the Inspector when it was manufactured.
I haven't found the program yet, but I found the poster with the same image.
So I uploaded it to my photobucket.
Note no fiberglass or carbon fiber. But it does have a radiator grille in front and the F100 Twin I-Beam, stock Ford wheels and apparently a 9" in back. Does the spare tire mount look familiar?
Some guys these days act like they invented water pumper Bajas. (not KrazyBaja tho, you're cool). _________________ Richard

I saw when it was a beam car you were running a 6wider beam and 4" tweeds arms?
were you runnign a stock height combo spindle or their raise spindle? ride height looked good from here with those 4 over arms. going back and forth for the front end of my rail.
6wider + 2.25 arms
