Got my english version of the book from the UK (I am in Adelaide, Australia).
Worth the wait and suggest everyone buy a copy if you haven't already. The German version was worth it for the pictures alone, so it's good to be able to read a copy finaly.
Well done to the folks that made this possible. _________________ Aaron

This is an incredible discovery, rescue and resurrection of an amazing piece of VW automotive history. I have been reading a free pages per night and finally finished ha. It was extremely worth it.
Now I need to order two books, one for myself and one for my father. Thank you for this great present. _________________ **1971 Super Project

I've been reading and following this story since the very start. Kudos to the team and all the contributors. This is a fantastic story.
I just got the book (English version). Great pics. But to be honest, I was a bit disappointed that the solving of the puzzle was a bit too simplified. I was expecting to see and read a bit more about how the pieces slowly came together and how the mystery was unraveled. Of course, that info is avail on this thread, but I was hoping the book would thread the story together even more tightly.
Still, good book to have.

Yes, I was also hoping for this. It is a great book and I'm happy that I purchased it, but it is intended more for the average VW or car enthusiast in general, rather than geeks like us. I for one would love more details than this thread gives on how specific parts were found and/or re-fabricated. I'm sure a book like that would be very thick, expensive, and wouldn't sell very well. _________________ EMPI Power Rules! |

I ordered an English copy from the UK. Very nice book and beautiful photography. Very nice book to have in my collection. I have a quote of mine in the book from the forum!!
It's so neat to have seen this historic car in person up close at the Grundmann museum last summer for the pre Hessisch Oldendorf BBQ and then at the event over several days. This car has to be seen in person to be truly appreciated. Amazing part of automotive history and the crown jewel I'm sure in their collection.
I am so glad I have had a chance to meet Christian and see his wonderful car. Happy to have this book. I would recommend everyone get a copy.
Looking forward to 2017!!!!
Regards from Canada
