I know it's not a vanagon but since I have a sunroof I get related to this a lot, people are dumb.

One is listed for MacGyver, but there's another one: A Westy is used at the beginning of an episode in Season 1. Next time I pop that DVD in I'll take a screen shot. Very Happy

LOL no, they just found out where the house was that they shot it. I guess there was always a crowd of fans across the street when they were shooting outside.

Doing some channel surfing the other night and came on to Night and the City. Really crappy De Niro film but did see a vanagon on the streets of NYC halfway through the movie.

I found myself inexplicably drawn to a documentary about Heavy Metal on VH1 Classic one night last week.

They were showing footage from the Wacken Open Air Festival in Germany, walking around the campgrounds talking to all of the metalheads. There were Vanagons all over the place! I spotted at least seven.

It reminded me of tailgating at Red Rocks for a Social Distortion concert in my Vanagon a couple of years back, except that everybody who walked by looked at it like it was an alien spaceship.

On tonight's episode of Criminal Minds there was a sweet Vanagon panel van used to abduct some children. About 15 minutes into the show

They weren't Vanagon's, but there are numerous VW Bugs and Buses in "Bullitt". Plus Steve's fastback 'stang. Cool The King of Cool.

My wife said she saw this just minutes before I walked into the room and I thought, "Oh, great, now she is seeing them everywhere, too."

Stopped at a big VW/Audi Dealership to order something. They had these neat BIG professional posters of the original buses, one that had a sailboat in the the bag and a sail rigged on the roof and then another one. Obviously top model lines. I asked if they ever would give them away and of course they said no BUT they gave me 2 calendars with 2 of our area of interest i.e. VWs.

One is a bug with a tent on top and a ladder up to it. It was for real and I guess that's what trickered Westys et al. The other one is a bus. I'll try to scan into computer. I howled when I saw the bug with a tent on it. Those Europeans were sure creative.

I also saw a bus in an Irish travel ad last week. Now I'm always looking for vanagons.

Wasn't a panel. Just rewound it twice, and there is something quickly tacked over the windows painted body color.

My wife pointed it out, too.....
