These Wheels are made by Pacific Italia, Carrera Wheel.
Performance Industry was never a Wheel Company.
And yes, these are awesome looking 4 lug wheels.

Cool 14"diameter x 5.5" wide Western "Minilite"-style wheels (purchased from Samba seller Scott Hopkins in GA... Go back a page or two in this thread for a picture of these wheels "pre-refinishing"...), refinished by my favorite local powdercoater (Shoreline Coatings LLC of North Branford, CT: http://shorelinepowdercoating.com/home/) a little while ago, recently fitted with 205/70R14 BF Goodrich tires--very nice looking & driving setup! (NOTE: Stick-on weights were used, and only applied to the backs of these wheels, when they were spin-balanced by my trusted local automotive shop)
And no spacers needed with these wheels (for caliper clearance due to the Karmann Ghia disks on the front of my '69 Bug--my 14" Dan Gurneys needed spacers) either. I've had the car out on the highway once so far, and very pleased with how this setup spins!
I still have to figure out how to deal with cleaning up/improving the looks of the original Western center caps (plastic) that came with these wheels, so they've not been fitted to the wheels as of yet... _________________ Stock Steve

5.5" wide Porsche 914 "hubcap" wheels and 185/65R15 redline tires, on my '70 Bug Convertible, as seen mid-April 2016, at a classic car dust-off event in Derby, CT... Plastic centercaps that pop into the center openings of the wheels are shown fitted here, and black plastic caps for the lug bolt heads as well. Looks a little bit too "busy," I think, and will be going to some chrome original 914 hub caps soon, I think...

I had a set of these exact wheels on the 75 beetle I had a few years back.
I gave them away to a local body shop owner who was going to throw them on a speedster kit car (built on a 68 pan, 4 lug) in exchange for getting part of the floor replaced on my 71 maverick.
He sandblasted them and had them powdercoated red, thin white wall, black car. It looked sweeeet. Wish I could find the pics of the car. _________________ 73 super beetle thread http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=649622 Back on the Road!

very neat. would like these for my squareback.
can you or someone tell us more about them?
offset, years made (80s or 90s), brazilian or mexican etc?
did find it difficult to search for them just with 'mangels'.

I just bought a set this week. I say bought but I practically stole em. Mine are dated 1974 and are staggered at 5.5 and 4.5. I've gotta clean em up still but I needed some rollers as its time to sell my Fuchs.

These wheels turned out very nice, please post a pic of them on the car. Do you know what they weight per wheel? |

I ended up selling these before I ever put them on a car, sorry. Don't recall what they weighed, but they were pretty darned heavy. I wonder if they might've been originally designed for some industrial piece of equipment. They were very sturdy pieces. I'd love to see them on a car myself... _________________ Stock Steve
