As we approach the end of yet another month, we will be following OCOD tradition, and there will be a GTG on Sat., 10/26/13 @ East Coast Imports from 11am 'till after the Covered Bridge Tour group gets back, sometime that afternoon. There will be plenty of food and snacks available, just bring your favorite beverage! Pls RSVP so I have an idea how many will be attending. Stop in and speak some Volkswagen with us. Camping afterwards is probably not going to happen since it is forcasted to be very chilly that night (but I'm open to suggestion).

For those of you wanting to participate in the Covered Bridge Tour make sure you contact Rick for when/where to meet.

Let's make a definitive starting time here - let's call it 10:00 to gather at the flyer's field at Valley Forge (the field to the left of 252 as you cross over the turnpike heading west. It's where the radio controlled planes are allowed to operate) with a official on-the-road time of 10:30. That should place us back at Willie's by 3 at the very latest so we have a few hours of daylight left to enjoy. Can I get a count of who's coming so Lisa and Willie can prepare?

also, frostbite run is coming up. thanksgiving. anyone planning to meet up to roll in again? wawa up the street is the usual spot.

Quote:
Frostbite Run 2013

Date: 11/28/2013

Time: 8:00 AM-1:00 PM

Location: Thomas Massey House, Lawrence Rd, Broomall PA

Each year, HCCP gathers for their "closing" ceremony at the Massey House on Thanksgiving morning. Each year, members of HCCP arrive with their families, donate food and toys, and make the time to enjoy friends, the car club hobby, and the free donuts and coffee that HCCP provides that day; as a matter of fact, each year HCCP takes the money given for coffee and donuts and donates it to the Massey House. The Frosbite Run gives the members a chance to give back to the community, reminisce with old friends, and remember that the holiday season is about to begin.

For all those who want to attend: Please be at the Massey House (Lawrence Rd off of West Chester Pike or Springfield Rd) at 8:AM. Also, we ask that you bring a New unwrapped toy to donate for the United States Marine Corps "Toys for Tots" Drive and a non-perishable food item for the local food bank.

Sauerkraut is cooking up and smells delicious, the bratwurst will make it awesome. Only need to add a few VWs and the recipe will be complete.

This ride is open to all VW's, both air and water. Just a chance to get out and enjoy the changing scenery before the snow starts flying!

Thanks to the hardy few that showed up today. Bright, breezy and a little chilly to start, but it was a nice ride through the country.. mostly. A couple wrong turns due to a Google maps error, but nothing serious. Some photos courtesy of Sue, my wife, shooting through glass out of a moving car...!

The lineup at Valley Forge..

We weren't the only ones with the same idea. Ran into a classic car club doing their own tour of the area, heading the opposite way...

Another awesome gtg this past Saturday. The weather cooperated for the Covered Bridge Cruise and for the rest of us just hanging out. Some 'new' vehicles showed up along with the more familiar rides. Good food, good friends, good times. Thanks to all for taking the time to participate. Anyone have a plan for the Nov gtg?

Pete has been working on this bug for the last six or seven years. He's been building bugs for as long as I've been in business, possibly longer. He got the tags for this one on Saturday morning before bringing it to the gtg.
