He had to move his Squareback (in the background) off the road to make room for the delivery... _________________

wish I was lucky enough to find a couple of ovals! But I did make a deal on a 67 fastback today for $200 with the OG motor that turns over by hand and no dents that I can see.No title _________________ 65 one owner bug

Contacted a local VW/Classic Car Club. They have monthly meetings at a brewery/restaurant, monthly rally drives, and participate in several local car show events. I'm looking forward to the next meeting! _________________

I found this while going through some stuff that was in the car when I bought it. I thought some of you might get a kick out of it. Finding it was a pleasant surprise. I blocked out the original owner's name and address.

This is cool! Only $25 deposit? Even a $30,000 car today requires a lot more that $250 down! And the radio was the most expensive option? _________________

Very cool, I am going to add that to the Mid-City page on the site.
Yes, radios were crazy expensive back then! _________________ How to: Post Photos | Search

It was an Amos 'n Andy radio - "Sapphire"
When I bought my '73 Beetle back in the day, AMs were $60, FMs were $120, and AM-FM Stereo was $180... in a $1995 base price car. |

| I dynamated the Engine compartment with very good results...It dropped the engine noise and vibration considerably. I also just completed the wheel wells and under the seats and did some PM work with the seats out. good weekend |

Finding the right gear was getting harder, decided to replace the shift rod bushing.Found that it was in 3 pieces! Install was a little difficult, not too bad.
Could not believe how much improved the gear changing was
Checked the valve gap as well, all checked out. Good day all around. _________________ '71 Squareback FI

Hi! Im new and figured I would post here.
Today I bought some PBlaster so I can HOPEFULLY get the front seats out of my newly purchased (poorly treated) Squareback. Wish me luck...this will be the third attempt.
I know...tiny step but it will be a huge victory. |
