I fixed my high beams today. Just a couple of disconnected wires... _________________ 1963 Notchback - Ruby Red

I just came home to find my Type 3 decals arrived from Johnny Rugers at Shogunsigns. Nice work, I cannot wait to see them on the car. |

Took it to Oldspeed to have the alignment checked because the shop I initially took it to didnt know what they were doing. Got the toe set right.
For anybody in the Orange County area, do not take your cars to AutoTek. Fair warning. _________________ '65 1500 S [quareback]

I've been looking for somewhere around me (whittier) to get an alignment done right. How much did the alignment run you? |

Oldspeed charged me half of what they normally do, $25. So I'm guessing regularly it's $50? I only had the front done. They charge around $170 to do the rear because it takes so long. I'm gonna try it myself first.
I paid $65 at the other place that did it wrong.
I've also had people recommend Accurate Alignment in Orange and Glenn's in Costa Mesa. _________________ '65 1500 S [quareback]

Pretty much finished it up today:
Just need to come up with a hatch emblem, add some gas, install the battery, and then it is off to the alignment shop.
I bought the car 25 months ago. There was a 7 month period when I didn't work on it at all. So it took about year and a half to do.
If I ever do another Type 3 it'll be a whole lot easier...talk about a steep learning curve. |

Cleaned off the old carpet glue from the footwell and kick panels, installed my clock and fixed the instrument lights. Connected my battery and sat and listened to that great sound of the clock...while pondering how to remove the stripped and rusted MC bolts. _________________ Cheers, David

Ran some gas through the tank today.
After installing the gas tank a while back, I went about doing other stuff under the hood......forgot all about hooking up the fuel lines. |

I got super motivated this weekend and finished covering Schultz's seats.
Anyone know where I might get or what I might use for two more bushings pictured below used on the backrest hinge?
Progress!

Today I primered and painted a couple of parts primed with rust bullet then a coat of gloss black. Looking forward to getting my rebuilt motor next week. Moving forward :d |
