I have to say not only am I impressed but getting inspired also I hope to find my way back into the garage soon. Keep up the updates man love the pics of this build.
Also what size rolling stock are you using and are those going to be the final set or are they just to put in on wheels? And if not what size tires are you going to run? |

it will sit a little higher at ride hight with shocks... those r 31x10.5x15 .. i think ill be sticking with that size front and rear... i was gonna go bigger but .. sticking with 31 to keep some of the unsprung wieght off the arms.. and help with trans parts not exploding as well as helping gear ratios..
i think im gonna buy either bf mud terrain of mt baja pro,i also like yoko mt+ ..
the mt baja pro only comes in 30x7 or 33x9, so if i go with those i will go to the 33 they are skinny so that will help..
any ideas? _________________ GRIP IT AND RIP IT!!!

any ideas? | Ryan what kind of estimated weight are you looking at on the car when done?
I have to agree with keeping them @31 for the reasons you posted. Then again as far as the trans,I think even if you went to 38s your probably not going to be able to hook them up if your serious about running the supercharger.
Now the load/unload of the tire when getting after it off road might take it's toll sooner than later. I vote the 31 to be safe. Those yoko-geo's look pretty nice as well.
My other thought is,on the rare trip to Glamis or other big sand what kind of paddle tire would you run to keep the internals of the trans....internal?Might want to pick up a spare
The car looks awesome man,you have some skills. _________________ AKA RDP's Gelcoater |

was hoping to keep it under 2000 but probably closer to 2200 ... im gonna weigh all 4 corners before i buy shocks... we should put in a pot guessing total wieght!!!
i will probably stick to 31 on tires..
heres a few update pics... i ordered shifter.. got the cluch linkage installed.. some dimple die work and front end work done..

I got some body mounts done and gutted doors .. i still need to build front mount
limit straps and bump stops next..
I welded extentions onto the top door hinge.. that bolt to the frame..help support the door and tie the body to the frame..
Built gusseted mounts on the trunk lid that bolt to the rear cage..
I used the upper seat belt bolt to tie the top to the frame!! strong and built solid in the door frame.. worked good!!
also put a mount over the windshield!

This is an amazing build. I have been following it since it first showed up on this board.
How many degrees of travel are you getting on your front end in steering? |
