Don't you just love a two room suite? What's the cord coming under of the engine lid?
Did the bus pull okay through those mountains? |
thanks all for the compliments
the cord is the 230V in for the bus. External socket was shot and I just added a male socket in the engine compartment... Plans are to make some improvement here... I know It doesn't look 'correct'...
It pulls just OK... in 2nd gear... though I run straight axle with a short geared bug trans... I need to get some more HP to drive it better... I am actually suffering a little bit when uphills... Main issue in slopes at highway or hard wind... _________________ 1967 Split SO-42 Dormobile |

We just got our Puck a couple of months ago and have camped once...LOVE it! I will be following this thread for all the help I can get. I restored the scab myself and will be painting the bottom half of my Puck to match my truck I will post photos as soon as I figure that part out. |

What a great site. In the last month I've gotten a ton of good ideas from this site. About 4 weeks ago I bid on and won a 1968 Eriba Puck on eBay. I live in Knoxville, Tennessee and the Puck was in San Diego, CA, 2240 miles from home. As I will do anything for a road trip, I drove out and towed it home, stopping off in Las Vegas for a couple of nights and visiting my brother in Kansas on the way home. A fantastic trip. I'm now in the process of doing some very minor restoration: new seat upholstery, new curtains, and new top canvas. I also had a propane gas company upgrade my propane tank (new required valves) as I couldn't find a new tank that would fit in the little tank closet. Except for camping in a casino campground in Las Vegas and in my brother's driveway, all of my other nights were either at Flying J truck stops or Walmart stores. I'm pulling the Puck with a Honda Civic DX (the very small 4-cylinder Civic). By getting almost 40 mpg and staying overnight for free most nights, traveling is almost free! (When I got home, my son hooked it up to his Smart Car and we went for a trial run. It pulled it fine, even going up some steep grades.) I can see this little Puck taking me on many great adventures. I've got some short trips planned and then a February trip to Key West, Florida. I love this Puck. I'll post some pictures when I figure out how to do it. _________________ 1968 Eriba Puck |

Congratulations. Have you named it yet?
A Smart car towed it? I had trouble with my busses pulling mine, until I got a new engine in the camper. Damn!! Wish I had had a space to keep my little Reba. _________________ Judy

Hi, I am looking to replace the side window for my puck. It is the only one in Australia I believe. The window popped out and was lost by the previous owner, who was travelling too fast when the pop top suddenly rose, tearing the canvas and blowing out one of the windows. Too dark to find it apparently. Any lead son wher to get one? It is a mid 70's van.
thanks, Steve _________________ the invisible and the non existent look very much alike |
