Man, you're set. That's a good looking display right there. Crowds at a trailer rally would eat that thing up.
All you need is an awning, and some bunting.
"Marti's Awnings" is where we got ours.
The Puck looks to be in excellent shape, Did you import it yourself?
Thanks for sharing! |
Thanks!
I am def planning on an awning, will have to check out Marti's awnings, thanks for the info. The previous owner imported it from Belgium a few years ago. _________________ 63 Beetle

My only advice awning wise is when you measure the length of the awning rail, only measure the straight/flat portion, not where it starts to bend around. Roughly side marker light to side marker light. Read that on some Euro site and worked well for us.
Love that your sporting the ultra rare, (Stateside anyway) euro kitchen, very nice.
.... OMG, the patina on your Bug is incredible, WOW. |

What he said.
I made the mistake of measuring from end to end of the awning rail. Did not take into consideration the curve. It drooped right over the door. I finally released about a foot of stitching on each end to get it pulled straight. Of course that foot flapped. _________________ Judy

I think you are missing one other thing: a roll of green AstroTurf so you can replicate that look wherever you go! |

I have realized that I just don't have the time to finish my Puck. I have listed it in the classifieds if anyone is looking for one...It will be an incredible deal for whoever buys it. I'm selling for about 1/2 of what I have in it, minus the labor. Just need it out of my way. |

Nice. Does that color match your bus?
Jack W, I think going with the bigger trailer is a good choice. I end up using my Heilite anytime I go camping with my son because the Puck is just too small. |

I tried out my new Bus Depot awning this past weekend - four days of rain and it did great. This is the 10' x 8' version. I had to make some special brackets to attach it to the trailer but it stayed up in winds and rain that destroyed a number of other awnings.

getting close to the end, as you can see: I am not one for original !
(I just want to make it known, I did not do the restoration myself (I am not that talented ), but they were my ideas
the cord will go through wall and microwave above AC unit
just needs the rubber gasket around the door
the trim and new red rubber will be the last finishing touch
Just need to put the yellow laminate on counter

2 questions
Any creative ideas to hang license plate on puck. I'm restoring don't want to put to many holes in the aluminum. Added points for pictures
The aluminum trim is dirty and dingy. What did you clean it with to make it look new? Get it anodized, polish it or did you buy new? If new where eribasar? |

Not sure of the style of rear tail lights you have, but heres my arrangement using two short lengths of water heater straps pinned under the rear lights and their stand off spacers...
Peace,

A source for 10" spare rim 10" x 3.5" 4 on 100mm bolt pattern.
They have tire/wheel combos too |
Thanks for the tip, sourcing 10" tires for my rims is turning out to be a lot more difficult than I thought.
I've read Austin Mini tires will work with original puck rims as well. |
