I checked the dictionary, and searched the gallery, but found neither pics nor explanation, so I'm asking y'all to educate me.

I keep hearing reference to "fat base mirror arms" and have no idea what it means. If someone could post a pic of both a "normal" and a "fat base" mirror arm, I'd sure appreciate it.

Thanks in advance.

Oh ya, there was one pic in the gallery, but it doesn't really illustrate the difference, or at least I don't think it does. Confused

Does the "fatness" extend through the hinge, or is just the flange that's fat?

I'm pretty sure that the arm itself is the same diameter, just the base is different.

And seriously, does anyone know how to get an OG arm out of a hinge without damaging the arm threads or the hinge? Confused
