Hi All,
Was wondering if anyone knows what the correct position is supposed to be for the glove box bracket (see photo) I hate to keep bending this thing and weakening it, it's in a 62' vert.....looks like the PO went to town on this thing a few times! I have the original locking glove box latch that will catch but gets stuck and pulls the door in too far.

Thanks for any help!

I have this picture, can't remember offhand which of my bugs this is, probably my 61 body Baja though.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Also appears to have been pulled out somewhat.

In the circled portion of your pic, it appears there's an unpainted area that may have been pulled from under the lip.

Since the glove box is removed, it’s easy to align.

Close the glove box door and bend/tweak the tab until it makes proper contact with the latch.

Agreed. I think the spot welds busted loose there.
