Not a Cunningham or a Cisitalia.
They made many more roadsters of this then they did hard tops. Only 3 hardtops I think.
It was made in America. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

Did you cheat?
It's a Kurtis 500. Made by the same folks who produced the very successful Kurtis Indy cars in years gone by. _________________ Mother Nature is a Mean Evil Bitch! |

At first I was thinking Cunningham, but you said no, so I was thinking about other 50s American sports cars, and did a Kurtis image search. Bingo.
The former Kurtis shop is a few miles from where I live, BTW... _________________ 5/62 343

| this remindes me of a guy I knew that I raced a lot , he had a nhra supergass car for many years, it was pretty nice. he thought it was a willys. turned out it was a studabaker!!.and my old plymouth daily driven street car showed it's ass to him on regular occassions.( he tried for many years to out run me but it never happened, not even on the dragstrip) he died(cancer)& the car went into big daddy don gartlets museem of dragracing in ocala fl(just south of gainsville) he did get a trophy that was mine for a street race that his shop sponcered(that his car was the fastest in the south or some bs like that)it was bacily just street drags, but my car was about a tenth or so faster than any other car there& I was deadly on the tree.I was then told to load up my car by the track manger. reason?? the trophy has already been paid for.and we were freinds before that, my brother even caged&framed the car at night ,off site with my mig so nobody would know who did it.oh well shit happens. |
