I'm thinking '46 or '47 Ford with a '48 (or newer) box. |

You may very well be right.
This one ^^^ looks like the same rear fenders, but the box is slightly different. Other images show the same box, but more teardrop shaped rear fenders. I suppose things could have been easily swapped around.

Whoever used that Oval for target practice should be tied to the door post and used for target practice. |

Me too, but the headlights could be added later, the lack of side vents says not a Fiat to me.

Still speaking of old trucks, if anyone sees one of these for sale on the west coast, let me know.

1950s Powell, made in Compton, California, on Plymouth automotive frames.
Interesting company, started in the '20s making radios, shifted to motor scooters (before Vespa!) and then to pickups and station wagons. Later they made the Powell Challenger and Phantom trail bikes that many of us lusted after in the '70s. |

That's right. I read that they stopped making the trucks after they bought up every junk 41 Plymouth in the LA Area and didn't have any more to convert. |

they should of looked harder and or addpated to another platform to make some neet stuff. If I won the lotto I would probably start making cars on a small scale. |
