They're so cool, get a bigger motor in and you have a nice truck.

This one should be fast enough:

They even made a full van M-679 version:

This is a pic of my dad with his 1st car.
Taken about 1955-56 or so.
He passed recently and we discovered this picture in old album.
Like to know what kind of car it is.
Thanks in advance

Someone had told me it was a 40 Chevy but everything I came up with didn't look like it.
After seeing this I realized I was looking at a coupe rather than a sedan.

Thanks!

Same reason i watch old tv. "Adam 12" is chock full of goodies, and the Chrysler Windsor convert on "Bachelor Father" is pretty sweet, too.

My dad had a '39 Chevy 4 door for his daily driver when he fresh out of college & married. We used to take it hunting/fishing on weekends.

number one is a kougar-jaguar. kougars are modern cars ('70s-'80s) built around older jaguar drivetrains with a healey silverstone-esque body.

number two looks a bit AC ace in the rear but it's probably something else.

We have a winner for number 1 --

Number 2's hint -- it was manufactured by a boat company

Not so fast Wink
Glasspar G2, built in Costa Mesa, Ca. in the early 50's. Bill went on to build the highly desired hard top for the Porsche 356 Speedster. Russ at Fibersteel is currently making replicas of the tops. I visited Bill's shop several times in the late 50's while bicycling around the area when I was a kid. His shop was around the corner from the Holden surfboard shop off of Superior Ave when my Dad and his friends were were making early foam surfboards. Laughing
