from what I read William Durant was at one time CEO of General Motors and the Star was to be competition for the Model T Ford. So I doubt they used Ford parts-- I've been wrong before

You also posted a photo with the name of the vehicle on the right rear of the van. Almost as bad as posting a Peugeot with a big 404 painted on the side.
