Yeah some people don't understand taking an obsolete design and hitting 300 MPH with it _________________ Rick

Help me out here. I thought that air cooled, horizontally opposed VW engines could be considered a fairly obsolete design by some _________________ Jack Staggs

I never said that there was anything bad about it, just that it shows remarkable ingenuity on the part of the engine builder. People race all sorts of obsolete things, VWs, Model As, rowboats, sailboats, upright bicycles...

Probably a GMC. That's all good vintage speed equipment--Hilborn injectors, Vertex magneto. Not as much of an anachronism as the Ford flathead in the previous post. _________________ 2000 M Roadster

The remarks said it was on 90% Nitro -- surprised it lasted thru the start up _________________ Remember, as you travel the highway of life,

That was a turbo Model T! It definitely perked up the Tin Lizzie, giving it a top speed over 55! |

You only know because you were working on the assembly line the day it was made. _________________

Not newer than '23.
In 1924 a bit of an apron was added to the bottom of the radiator shell and the leading edge of the fenders got a "flange" that lined up with it. |
