I sent him an extra set that I had. _________________ OGJHC

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

Quick update on seat belts, and covering the cushions.
I didn't want to install seat belts at the gas tank level so I went lower as indicated by the pics. If you plan to sit anyone with a waist larger than 14", you need to get the longer middle seat belts from WW. They are too long, but the shorts are too short.
I have all my foam in place and cut to fit. I found the foam at Ikea in the form of a fold out bed mattress they had in the "as is" section of the store. By the way, everyone was talking about hot knifes and electric knifes to cut the foam. I found that if you scored your line top and bottom with a sharp razor blade down an inch or so, a 9" serrated bread knife worked great. Not perfect, but wont be noticable with the covering. Looks like 6 yards of material to complete the covers. Should be done in the next week, and I will post up completion. If you make a the bed less wide, you could get away with less, traditional fabric, vinyl is less then the width, so had to go long to go wide. |

I didn’t see it mentioned elsewhere but I used 1” thick plywood when I made my full width bed. It eliminated any bow in the plywood. Depending on the size of the folks in the bed and their level of "restlessness" I would strongly suggest it. (I had to go to a specialty lumber store to find it.) |

Good point. You could use 1 inch, can't hurt. I used 3/4 with cross supports to increase rigidity and eliminate warp, etc. 3/4 is holding up fine. |
Thought about that but the supports intrude into the under seat storage space. Not much but it effects the size of container you can put under there. |

I'm sorry if I mess up this thread, and maybe the answer is somewhere here on theSamba, but does anyone have a drawing with metric measurements for cutting and installing a full width rock&roll bed in a split camper? My hinge supplier only got me an "inch drawing" for a 3/4 width r&r bed...
Links or pdf's greatly appreciated!
Cheers from Bergen, Norway
