The split window seems to have some kind of box installed on top of the driver's side rear fender. _________________ Central Jersey VW Society

I don't know why this reminded me of the Beatles' "Abbey Road" picture... Maybe that Lennon look-alike in front, with his hands in his pockets. But at first glance, I wanted to joke "wow, the Beatles sure did tour some grungy parts of San Diego..."
Which made me wonder: Isn't that picture already in the topic? A search under "Beatle" and "Abbey" didn't come up with anything, but it would need no commentary:

That's the recently deceased Robert Schuller preaching from the roof of the snack bar at the drive-in where he started his ministry. I wonder if he ever tripped over those pipes. I see a 914 in the front row.

My wife just found this when they were going through her grandma's stuff. It's my wife, with their family car in the background. She said her parents still have the bench, I asked why don't they still have the car also?!

LHD with a left hand cargo door - that is neat.
Obviously not 50s though since it's a 62-65 Double Cab
I think it has 64-65 door handles so maybe even 64-65 |
I don't see washer squirters below the windshield, so that leans toward 64. But do the outie vents mean 63? _________________ nothing |
