New Haven, CT in the '50s... Couple cool Bugs in this view (glossy black oval foreground, and lighter color oval sunroof going by on the street in the background), as seen posted on Facebook. I am thinking that the lot where the cars are parked in this view eventually became the Chapel Square Mall. According to an internet reference, development for the Chapel Square Mall began in 1957, reference: http://www.deadmalls.com/malls/chapel_square_mall.html

One pickup in the lot. Today probably be about half.
Looks like a kid in the black oval beetle in front.
