Well, we'll be there looking forward to seeing you at a VW show. Hope you had fun at the various other shows you may have hit this summer. I got the panel out to a few all makes shows this summer and had fun.

How about doing the group picture at the DJ booth? I think I'll park in the show area rather than vend this time.

I am counting the days, after missing a few other shows because of commitments.

Have not gotten all the body work done on the bus I was hoping to get done before the show, but it will still be there.

I am still looking for that elusive very clean sliding doo5 (Hint/Reminder) Very Happy

Suggestion: Why not announce the group photo shoot over the PA?

See you all there.

Robert

Does anyone have an exact street address for this show. I need to get directions there, it's been a couple of years since I last attended, and Yahoo Maps can only direct me to the "center" of Terryville, not the Fairgrounds.

Looks like no camper for me this year. I'll be rocking the Saturn SUV for this one.

Oh well

Just got a call from ABC News, Good Morning America.
Seems they are doing a remote shoot from Bethel, NY on Saturday morning, to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Woodstock, which was actually at Mat Yasgur's farm in Bethel. They need a VW bus for the backdrop of the shoot.
So, I'll be driving the reliabus up to Bethel on Friday, staying over night, doing the shoot Saturday morning, then blasting across to Terryville for the campout.

Wish me luck, and check out Good Morning America on Saturday, early.

Hang onto the DVR, I set mine, but if I don't get it, I'll let you know.
Thanks.

Yup, they liked the idea, called it a "running gag".
I just know they are going to want to paint it all hippy-like.
If it were anything else, I'd just say no, but for the Woodstock anniversary, I might let them go nuts.
My brother is driving up with me, he was at the original festival.
He took pictures of Jimmy Hendrix with his Polaroid Swinger camera where Jimmy filled the frame, he must have been 20 feet away.

Cool. Have fun! My dad shows up briefly in the Woodstock DVD as they pan through the crowd. If they need a 2nd bus, they can paint the shit out of the Jersey Looker if they want.

Have fun at the show folks, I'll unfortunately be entertaining all my out of town friends on Sunday that will be here for a wedding.

Since you're not available, I'd be more than happy to volunteer to drive it. I'll leave you keys to my MINI.

Well, that was quick.
The folks at ABC just had a two hour phone conference with the powers that be in control of the Bethel, NY Woostock festival site.
They can't have any vehicles whatsoever in the area they want to do the remote from, so the bus is out.
Damn, that was going to be a hoot.
Now that the former hippies are in charge, they won't let anybody do anything fun there. You'd think they'd want to encourage tourism up there, but no...

Oh well, see you all at Terryville.
