I'll be there with my 10 yo son.
This will be the first gathering for me and the Ghia.
I won't know a soul, so if you see me and this pumpkin coloured car, stop by and say hi.
Cheers,

I'm hoping to make it out to Terryville this year. I'm in the middle of an engine rebuild and need some parts. I'm looking for some copperhead shims to adjust my compression ratio..
think any vendors at the show will carry that?
It's been quite a while since I have been there. couldnt make Litchfield. |

jb/brownja- will you have your Ghia in the car show?
I'll be driving up too early Sunday morning; in my green metallic '77 std. Beetle. Up the Saw Mill Pkwy in NY, then I-684 NB to I-84 EB to Rt 8 NB at Waterbury. Will only spectate and swap shopping. I'll be the middle-aged guy in the German Lederhosen and cowboy hat!
Wishing everyone a good drive there in their ACVWs! |

Don't know yet.
The car is almost all original (only a new gas tank and carb) and in pretty good shape for that.
If there's a category for that, I might.
Never having been to one of these things before, I'll wait till Saturday afternoon and talk to a few people, then decide.
Cheers,

Hi all, OK great, so who is going over the Tappan Zee Bridge, I have Rome going with me in our bugs. It would be nice to have a Caravan of cars and Buses.
I remember a few years ago I was on my way to the show and was on route 8. It was foggy and if you know 8 it is hilly and tree lined, real green.
In the distance I see what looked like a multi colored snake winding up the hills. What a sight, it was a line of Buses!!!!!! Real cool, never will forget it. _________________ email: [email protected]

Anyone coming down from MA, NH, ME? I run 495S, MA Pike, 84 south, and probably Rte 6 over. Hope to leave by 6a, and usually stop at the rest area on MA pike for breakfast about 7:15-7:30 or so. _________________ John Henry

I'm really torn about this show. My Beetle mechanical repairs are done (for now, still has no odometer, speedometer or gas gauge, new windshield etc.). Should I drive it to CT on its maiden voyage or drive it around town for a few weeks first? Anyone in Philly or NJ caravaning to the show? |
