I'll be there! Flying to Bremen and then driving a hire car to HO. This time I'm merely a spectator as I did not feel ready yet to drive the oval all the way to Germany.
Unfortunately I cannot stay for Sunday and the aftershow programme because our flight is 7.00 am on Sunday morning from Bremen! That's gonna be a sleepless night.
Looking forward to meeting Samba people. Any time/location already planned? _________________ Check out my Facebook page: Volkswagen Prototypes. |

Good German beer... mmm, would be nice
Sure you don't want us to bring some real stuff from Belgium, We're a small country, but have great beers:
Cheers

I have to say that both the Belgian and German beer is good quality. But here's an invitation to you. Come to California and come to one of our shows (ie Kelley Park or Solvang): Several of us are making some very nice ales and beer right here in our garages.....Mine is brewed next to my '54 Barndoor. And the taste is quite good.....almost as good as my top 5 favorite European brews. So consider this an invite. John, you should be the first to try some next time you're out here. _________________ Happy to be alive. Hey Dad, Mom, wish you were here to see all this.

Well, I wasn't saying that the Belgian beer is better, Germans have great pils (or "lager", whatever you call it...), that's for sure! I'm not familiar with homebrewing, but it sounds cool
Thanks for the invatation Pete, California is on my wishlist of places to visit, but I'm afraid I cannot promise anything. There are no plans for long and expensive journeys for the moment, we've still have to finish some things on our newly build house. Other priorities first let's say...
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Hessisch Oldendorf very much as a short break. It's amazing to read here that so many VW fans from all over the planet will be there, this adds to the special atmosphere of the event...
regards,
Paul |

That is so true. It really is amazing when you think about it. It's our Hajj, we just don't throw stones at anything when we get there ..... _________________ John Henry

I will be there as well.
Will arrive on Friday afternoon.
My ride:
Unfortunately is the Oksara engine currenlty in revision and it won't ready before Hessisch. But fortunately I had a spare 30PK engine, so I can join Hessisch with the car.
