I'm going to be 20 when I go next year, will public transportation be good enough for getting around? Little nervous about venturing to Germany by myself to be honest. _________________ PNW Dub Folk & Kitsap dub Folk (KdF)

One of the reasons is financial, Christian. From my place to Hessisch i have 2000km one way, so that might add up to 4500km in my 2 weeks vacation. Gas prices went up, and Romania is not in a very good economic situation. Prices go up, my salary not. Besides that, i have to overcome also a hostile exchange rate from RON > EUR. If i have to choose between 2 full tanks and the Hessisch registration, i know what to choose. I am not complaining, nor i want a lower tax, i am just saying that for me, on a tight budget is hard.
The best i can is to be there, with the split, not in a modern car. Wait... i don't have a modern car... |
I just have talked with Christian and some of the Team. I have been in Rmania serveral times - first time in 1992 whith a care convoi by our chirch. We met so many people in Romaia and I was always friendly welcome like a part of a family. I also remember a romanian group at the Wolfsburg bug show which I haver organized, when they invited me to a romanian lunch inclusive self-bakered bred, sausages and very tasty slibovice. Thats not the onliest reaseon why we decidet to invite you for Hessisch Oldendorf Show 2013 as a regular participant so that you don't need to park your car outside. You are welcome!
I think you as a real participant is much better than one of these guys who are always blocking the list with their "fictive" vintage cars |

Bjorn, i was in Wolfsburg in 2008 with the romanian folks, i was in Camberg 2011 , berchtesgaden 2012, and every year i will come to Germany in my split, that is until i find a job there and take my split to Germany for good
I won't miss Hessisch, that's a fact. there's still a whole year left for preparations, but my split will be there!
Thank you for the offer, but i won't be there alone, i prefer to stay with my friends. if they register, i will too, not as a speial guest, but as everybody does, regardless of my financial problems _________________ 1960 1200 model 117 deluxe ragtop

Yesterday, we met the former chief executive of Volkwagen and father of the legendary DBB-advertises in Wolfsburg. He is pleasured to be the official patron of the 6th int. vintage VW-Show in Hessisch Oldendorf in 2013 and wanted to be a participant in a vintage Volkswagen too...

Yea, and I have been in training, doing 32 oz ale curls, pumping schnitzel & spaetzle and learning Deutsche: "Das ist ein sehr schönes Auto" and of course "Mehr Bier Liebling bitte" which will lead to "Wo ist die Toilette" _________________ Bill |
