Check for vacuum leaks at the intakes & boots. It sounds lean.

Also check to see if your filter is plugged.

Are you wires on correctly? Check all timing connections.

Where do you have timng set right now?
Static time it to 5deg BTDC. That should be ok until you can get a timing light to set it for a total adv of around 30deg.

Check your plug wires one more time making sure they go to the correct cylinder and the firing order is correct (1-4-3-2 clockwise).
Most of the time I hear someone say "popping thru the carb" I'm thinking wrong wiring or timing way off.

Lastly, pull all the plugs to check the gap and be sure they are not fouled.

what do you mean it pops through the carb? that sound weird when you say it like that.

i think that your tming is the most important thing within this problem. that and a good fuel filter. i recommend buying a good light and figuring out your timing first. my car ran like garbage before i properly timed it. now it's pretty damn smooth and fast SmileSmileSmile

go in this order

1.) all wires, lines and hoses are connected properly
2.) adjust points, and gaps
3.) DO TIMING
4.) after ALL else adjust carb to proper rpm settings etcetc

if you're going to buy a timing light, buy a digi read out light that lets you know what the RPMs are so that you can set the idle an advance

Smile good luck

i was out side to day and started my car and it ran fine till it warmed up the it started to do the popping through the carb so i checked all the things that could be wrong i replaced the fuel filter re timed the engine checked all the gaps after it sat for a long time to cool off then went out to start again ran out of fuel haha i thought my fuel line under car fell off (for got to push it all the way on and clamp it ) so ill try tomorrow to see if i have fixed it and yes i did check all my wires to make sure they are correct ill let you all know in what happens and thanks for the advise
