Locke died Nov. 3 at her Los Angeles home of cardiac arrest stemming from breast and bone cancer, according to a death certificate obtained by The Associated Press. She was 74. Authorities were promptly notified at the time, but her death was not publicized until RadarOnline first reported it Thursday. It is not clear why it took nearly six weeks to come to light.

I saw that movie in the theater as a kid back in 1976. I loved the line "are you going to pull those pistols or whistle dixie?"

I also saw Josey Wales in a theater here in town in 1976. I had dropped off my 1970 VW passenger seat and rear seat at a local upholstery shop, and the shop made a mirror image one for my driver seat. So my girlfriend Jodi sat on a board on top of the battery that evening. Saturday morning I went to pick up the newly upholstered pieces, and they installed the new one on the driver's seat, and I drove to show the new upholstery to the gal.
I still know that gal today, she lives in L.A., and Mrs. Cusser and I have vacationed with her and her family. and of course I still have the 1970, and it still has that upholstery.
Had to repair that 42-year old driver seat recently, the threads gave way

Lee Leonard, the first voice ever heard on ESPN, died Sunday at his home in South Orange, New Jersey. He was 89.
Leonard joined ESPN in 1979 at its inception after a career in radio at WNBC-AM in New York, and TV jobs with CBS and NBC. On Sept. 7, 1979, he appeared on camera and said:
"If you're a fan, if you're a fan, what you'll see in the next minutes, hours and days to follow may convince you you've gone to sports heaven."
