Hello Folks, I'm a bit new to this forum, but it seems like mayve the best place to ask...

I'm building an off-road bug that is going to have a hand made body simmilar to a Hummer I design,(out of steel instead of fiberglass). and I will be using a '68' Std bug chassis for the original donor.

The chassis I have has need of replacing the front axles,(both sides and including bearing sets), and brake backing plates,(at least the left side), and I'm thinking of running a set of brake drums that allow a match to the rear rims so that only one type rim pattern can fit all four whel locations.

The wrecking yards are a bit limited in my area and I'd rather replace any/all parts with new,(and as close to orginal german spec as possible)...

My question is, Is there a good Parts Catalog/Parts House that carries these,(above), parts that I can order from for a fairly reasonable price?

The main reason I am asking this is because all the catalogs that I have so far do not carry these specific replacement parts.

I'll also need a better supplier for the type of steel rims that I'm looking for, something similar to the triangle-cut spoke or the center-line types with the holes cut, that actually fit the VW bolt patts... any advise on where to look for this would also be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance. Very Happy

Michael

Wolfsburg West makes replicas of nearly every part on VW's, maybe check them out

http://www.wolfsburgwest.com/

I've used them many times and the parts are always quality
