Looks wicked Tom, I wish I was there on a loooooong layover to help you install those goodies. Be gentle with those axle boots...

I have a carbon fiber headliner, seats are light gray with carbon fiber inserts and black piping, black piping on the panels instead of the chrome strip, and covered the floor with german square weave!

I installed new hinge pins on 3 hinges and replaced the roof hinge pin on one side. I hope I never see another reamer. Thinking about doing the last one but it is real tight. |

Happy to have installed my new Abrath exhaust on my 57' oval. Sounds way cool! Very happy with the result.

I got the body completely stripped and ready to come off the pan. Just gotta figure out where I'm gonna put it so I can get started on the full pan rebuild. I did lift it up to make sure I didn't forget anything so it's good to go. _________________ - '57 Sunroof Beetle (project)

Dropped a bunch of front end parts off at the powdercoaters, took the body off and set it aside and stripped most of the old grease and such off the rear suspension parts to get them to powdercoat. Not necessarily in that order, but at least it's going in the right direction. _________________ - '57 Sunroof Beetle (project)

Replaced the left axle boot. This after getting the tranny and engine back in after replacing the nose cone. Rubbed that old boot on the frame when installing the tranny and it cracked.... Then gave it a good wash (first one in over 10 months) and went for a drive. Good to be back out on the road... _________________ Happy to be alive. Hey Dad, Mom, wish you were here to see all this.
