What is so special about the dodge valves? Were they just laying around? So if he put bigger valves in I take it he installed new seats, correctly?
I assume the dodge valves are 1.78" which brings the valve size to about 45.2mm. Yes very odd. _________________ Semper Fi

Sounds like it will breathe like crazy, but seems kinda overkill on a small motor. Let us know how it works _________________ Street legal fiberglass rocket ship

That would be like a 51 intake and 40 exhaust valve. While technically they would fit in a 94 bore, I don't think that it could be accomplished with a stock casting. |

Dodge, 5/16" stems? Did your guy do anything special to the valve guides?
51x40 on a 1915 with W110 is waay overkill.
I'd love to see some pics. Especially with the valves out... _________________ Richard Sedoris - VW Performance & Machine - Youngstown, OH

The valve guide spacing would definitely need to changed to accommodate such large valves, not easily done on stock castings. THe biggest I've ever seen in a VW casting is 47 x 37. _________________ John Bates

uhh wow
Are the intake and exhaust valves the same size? they look to be the same. Can you post some pics of the guides, in the exhaust and through the intake? I would have to say you got your work cut out for you to get the rocker geometry to work. _________________ Semper Fi

X2.
How are you going to equal out the valve stem height, and what about keepers? Those valves are all 4 groove.
Sorry man but that's a mess.
