One of our local gun manufacturers has one. They display it at the gun shows and such. Pretty freakin sweet. |

I honestly don't know, always wondered. I guess chin-ow-th. Kind of like when your older sister was pulling you around in that Red Ryder wagon, turned a corner too fast and you spilled out, falling on your jaw. "Chin.....OW, ttththtth!!!!!!!" Hey, I was only three, didn't know to put my arms out to stop my face from hitting the asphalt.

"Chen - o - wth" is about as close as I can get. Another version of the name has an 'e' between the 'w' and the 't'. That's a little more self-explanatory. _________________ Richard

The engine cover looks like a BBQ. I would probably put my MREs in there to warm them up while cruising around. |

I think it's probably a VW motor but I don't know. Wouldn't that cover get in the way of cooling? |

According to Wikipedia-
Quote: |
The DPV was built by Chenowth Racing Products, Inc. in El Cajon, California. The DPV, powered by a 200 hp VW engine for a payload of 1500 lb / 680 kg, is capable of accelerating from 0 to 30 mph / 0 –50 km/h in only four seconds. The DPV can travel at speeds up to 80 mph /130 km/h. With its standard 21 gallon / 79.5 litre fuel tank, the DPV has a range of about 210 miles / 338 km. An optional fuel bladder can extend the range to over 1,000 miles / 1610 km. |
Now I'm wondering what kind of VW. 200 HP is pretty impressive. |
