|
|
Hello Everyone,
I am building a mostly stock 36hp motor and adding to it an AMR300 super charger.
I need to find a supplier for pulleys I am hoping somebody here can point me in the right direction as i keep running into dead ends or shops that say they cant really help me.
I am hoping to try and run the charger at approx 2.5 to 1 ratio.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers |

hey there.
I am doing the same.
The supplier in Oz that is providing the amr300 makes a 60mm v pulley for it, and this combined with a 'standard' 165mm VW crank pulley gives me 2.75:1, which is what I was looking for.
I am going to weld or bolt the 165 pulley to my 36hp, running 2 v belts.
Hope this helps. |

or try mick, "vdubber" on AVD/DSK. he is in Adelaide and is doing SC12's onto later motors. |

How about using a pulley from a "air conditioning" 1600 motor from the 70's, I think I have one on my dune buggy motor.

that would work... but the pulley for the fan is a different size from the 36hp... so your fan will be turning slower right? not good I figured. |

The later style pulleys are a bit smaller, but it's a really minor difference.
When I put my 36hp pulley next to an aftermarket aluminum pulley it is really hard to see the difference without putting a tape on it...1/8" difference in diameter.
It's not like you'd be putting a power pulley on... |
